Airport Transfers
Airport Transfers Transfers on arrival at Munich Airport will operate at 10.00 and 13.00 on Day 1. Passengers arriving later should make their own way to the first hotel. Return transfers from the last hotel will arrive at Munich Airport at 09.30 on Day 8.
  • London Gateway: Trafalgar passengers purchasing either “Land Only” or “Land and Air” will receive Hotelink transfers during published hours of operation. This is providing that:
  • Passengers are staying at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar on the night of their arrival and the night before their departure.
  • Passengers or their Travel Agents supply Trafalgar with accurate flight information not less than 21 days prior to departure.
  • European Gateways: Trafalgar passengers purchasing “Land Only” will receive coach transfers at the times published in the brochure at NO extra charge. However, if these “Land Only” passengers arrive outside the brochure advertised coach transfer times they must make their own arrangements at their own expense.
  • Passengers purchasing “Land and Air” from Trafalgar will receive coach transfers at times published in the brochure or, if they arrive outside of these set times, then a separate transfer will be booked for them. These transfers will be available only on the days of arrival and departure of the tour.
  • Passengers purchasing pre and post tour accommodation must arrange their own transfers regardless of whether or not they have bought “Air” from Trafalgar.
  • Day 1 - Depart USA Overnight flight to Munich.


  • Day 2 - Arrive Munich (2 nights) You are met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Time to relax before a Welcome Drink with your Tour Director and fellow travellers.

  • Day 3 - Munich orientation and Christmas market Our orientation highlights the Olympic Stadium, the Marienplatz and the Hofbräuhaus. Enjoy the festive tradition of the Christmas markets and buy hand-crafted items while warming yourself on roasted chestnuts. Tonight, why not enter into the Christmas spirit at one of the city''s beer halls? (Buffet Breakfast)


  • Day 4 - Munich – Nuremberg (2 nights) Off to Augsburg, stopping to see the Renaissance 17th century town hall, in front of which is the Christmas market. Then along the Romantic Road to Rothenburg with time to admire its houses and Christmas shops and market. On to Nuremberg. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 5 - Nuremberg orientation and Christmas market This town provides a fairy-tale backdrop to Germany''s most fascinating Christmas market. Enjoy a walking tour of this traffic-free city seeing the squares, St. Sebald Church, the castle and fortifications. Plenty of free time to explore. (Buffet Breakfast)



  • Day 6 - Nuremberg – Strasbourg (2 nights) We drive up to Heidelberg Castle to visit its courtyard and ancient cellars and see the Great Vat! There''s time to shop for Christmas decorations before following the Rhine Valley to France. We enter the Alsace region and its capital, Strasbourg. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

  • Day 7 - Strasbourg sightseeing and Christmas market Today''s guided sightseeing features the Cathedral, the merchants'' houses, Place Gutenberg, and the picturesque quarter of ''La Petite France''. We also enjoy a glass-roofed boat cruise (weather permitting) through its many charming canals. Later, at leisure why not take an excursion to a typical Alsatian wine-village? (Buffet Breakfast)


  • Day 8 - Strasbourg – Munich Back into Germany and via the university town of Freiburg on the River Dreisam at the gates of the Black Forest. We enjoy a scenic drive past half-timbered houses, large farms, fields of cherry trees and conifer-covered hills and mountains to Lake Titisee. Then we follow the Rhine to Germany''s largest lake, Lake Constance. We drive along the pretty lake to Lindau - the most important town on its Bavarian shores - located on an island in the lake linked to the mainland by a bridge. Then we return to Munich where we enjoy a Farewell Dinner together with our Tour Director. (Buffet Breakfast / Farwell Dinner)

  • Day 9 - Munich – USA Farewell as we transfer you to the airport for your return flight to the USA. (Buffet Breakfast)
