• Day 5 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure Our day begins with a guided sightseeing tour which includes views of the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysées, the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral. After there is time at leisure perhaps to, take an optional excursion to Montmartre and the imposing Sacré Coeur. (Buffet Breakfast)



• Day 6 - Paris - Lyon We drive through the Forest of Fontainebleau and the wine growing region of Burgundy. Then travel along the valley of the River Saône to its confluence with the Rhône to arrive in Lyon for dinner and our overnight stay. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 7 - Lyon - Nice (2 nights) Today, via Montélimar, we arrive in Avignon with its Papal Palace. Then we continue through the beautiful countryside of Van Gogh to Nice on the French Riviera. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 8 - Nice & Monte Carlo Enjoy a full day to relax on the beach, or if you prefer, wander into the Old Town. This evening, we''re off on an included excursion to Monte Carlo, try out your luck at one of the casinos! (Buffet Breakfast)



• Day 9 - Nice - Florence (Bisenzio) We cross the Italian border, past Genoa, Columbus'' birthplace, to Pisa with its famous Leaning Tower. Next on to Florence to enjoy a scenic view of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo. • Day 12 - Rome - Venice (Monastier) (2 nights) Today, cross the Apennine Mountains, then the delta of the River Po to arrive in magical Venice. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 14 - Venice (Monastier) - Vienna (2 nights) This morning we travel into the Carnian Alps to the Austrian border and Lake District. From here we enjoy a scenic drive to the Carinthian Lake District and the Alpine Highway. Next the Vienna Woods give way to the Danube Plains and Imperial Vienna. (Buffet Breakfast)

• Day 15 - Vienna sightseeing & at leisure Our sightseeing tour of the city shows us the Opera, Imperial Boulevards, the Hofburg and the Parliament. Then time at leisure.(Buffet Breakfast)



• Day 16 - Vienna - Innsbruck (Igls) We drive via Mondsee Lake and the Salzkammergut to Salzburg. Here an orientation reveals places associated with "The Sound of Music" and Salzburg''s famous son, Mozart. Next on to Innsbruck. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 17 - Innsbruck (Igls) - Lucerne (2 nights) Our morning orientation in Innsbruck reveals many delights such as the Golden Roof, Hofburg Palace, Wilten Basilica and the Olympic ski-jump. Then, we drive west to Vaduz, capital of the small Principality of Liechtenstein. Later, a scenic drive through Switzerland brings us to pretty Lucerne.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 18 - Lucerne orientation & at leisure Enjoy a full day to relax in this fascinating town. First an orientation shows us the medieval Old Town, poignant Lion Monument and Cathedral. • Day 19 - Lucerne – Rhineland (Mannheim) Today we travel to Schaffhausen to view the Rhine Falls. Then we drive into Germany, and past Lake Titisee in the heart of the Black Forest, before heading to the University town of Heidelberg. Here we view its famous castle before arriving at our hotel in Weinheim.  (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 20 - Rhineland (Mannheim) – Amsterdam (2 nights) We enjoy a scenic Rhine cruise today beginning at St. Goar, sheltering beneath the Lorelei. We glide past castles and vineyards to Boppard. Then on to Cologne where we admire its Cathedral, before heading to the friendly city of Amsterdam. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

• Day 21 - Amsterdam orientation, Volendam excursion & at leisure Our orientation shows us the Tower of Tears, the Royal Palace, Dam Square and more. Then enjoy a visit to a diamond-polishing factory before we drive out of the city, to the fishing village of Volendam. We also stop to visit a cheese farm and a clog-making workshop. We return to Amsterdam with time at leisure.  (Buffet Breakfast)



• Day 22 - Amsterdam - London Today''s journey takes us through Dutch and Belgian countryside to Calais. Here we board our ferry for the short sea crossing to Dover and our return to London by coach. (Buffet Breakfast)

When traveling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of our itineraries, Trafalgar offers you the opportunity to purchase these tours on a 'room sharing' basis. We will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same sex on a 'twin room' basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that regrettably, we cannot guarantee that room mates will be of a similar age group. Even so, it is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends and a positive way to stretch your vacation budget further. If we fail to match you we will provide a single room at no extra cost.
