- London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive,particularly between the airport and your London hotel. Trafalgarhas negotiated special rates for the Dot2Dot transfer from London''sHeathrow* to the door of your Trafalgar London hotel:
- Important - Please Note: Passengers will only beentitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing thefollowing conditions are met:
- Your Travel Agent provides detailed flight information toTrafalgar no fewer than 21 days prior to departure. Once transfersare booked they cannot be changed.
- For London arrivals, you must stay at a London hotel booked byTrafalgar on the night of arrival and the night prior to yourdeparture date.
- Trafalgar only includes one inbound and one outbound transfer.
- In the event of flight delays outside of Trafalgar''s control, thetransfers will be deemed to be cancelled.
- All transfers are based on group transfers. No refund is thereforeavailable for missed transfers, or passengers not using thisservice.
- In the event of unforeseen events (such as road or rail works,strikes or demonstrations), Trafalgar will not be responsible fordelayed or cancelled transfers.

Day 3 - Rome sightseeing & at leisure
Our sightseeing tour includes a visit to St. Peter''s Basilica wherewe see the Pieta, one of the masterpieces of Michelangelo. Later weoverlook the Roman Forum , see the mighty Colosseum ,where thegladiators fought to the death, and the Circus Maximus, wherechariot racing took place in ancient Rome. Then time to learn howto make pizza the Italian way! (Buffet breakfast)
Day 4 - Rome - Siena - Florence (2 nights)
This morning we drive northwards through the Chianti wine-producingregion to the beautiful medieval town of Siena and take a strollthrough the cobbled streets to the spacious Campo Square where thecolourful Palio bareback horse race takes place every year. Therace only lasts two minutes but is the most important event of theyear. Then we head for the Renaissance city of Florence, where weenjoy a Highlight Dinner tonight. Day 5 - Florence sightseeing & at leisure
Our walking tour features the colourful marble cathedral, SignoriaSquare and a visit to Santa Croce church where great Italians ,including Michelangelo , are buried. Later , we enjoy the amazingview over the city from Piazzale Michelangelo before we have thechance to taste different flavours of mouthwatering ice-cream inthe city where it was invented by Bernard Buontalenti!. Day 6 - Florence- Ravenna - Venice (2 nights)
We drive over the forested Apennine hills via forli tp ravenna. Westop to visit the Basilica of Saint Apollinaris in Classe with itsstunning colourful Byzantine mosaics. Then we continue through partof the delta of the River Po and past ''fisherman''s Venice'' , thetown of Chioggia , to the waterbound city of Venice, built on over200 islands in the lagoon more than a 1000 years ago! (Buffetbreakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Novotel Venezia Mestre Castellana (2 nights)
Day 7 - Venice orientation & at leisure
Our private cruise takes us to St. Mark''s Square where we see theBridge of Sighs, where condemned prisoners caught their lastglimpse of the city , the Doge''s Palace, St. Mark''s Basilica andthe Campanile. We watch how glass is blown then have the chance tolearn all about the great Venetian tradition of Carnival masks andpaint and decorate one of our own! Today our Tour Director sharesone of the many Hidden Treasures of Venice with us all and there isstill time to cruise across the lagoon in a private boat todiscover the colourful island of Burano and enjoy a deliciousseafood lunch. Day 8 - Venice - Verona - Engleberg (2 nights)
Today we drive westwards across the Veneto plains and stop inShakespeare''s Verona to see the Roman Arena and Juliet''s balcony.We continue past the commercial center of Milan and head north tothe Italian and Swiss Lake Districts via Como and Lugano. Then wetake the scenic alpine St. Gotthard route into central Switzerlandand arrive in the winter sports resort of Engelberg . (Buffetbreakfast / Dinner)Hotel: Ramada Regina Titlis (2 nights)
Day 9 - Lucerne orientation & at leisure
This morning we take a short drive to Lucerne where we see the LionMonument, which commemorates the heroism of the Swiss guards duringthe French Revolution, and walk over the wooden Chapel Bridge. Thenthe chance to take an exciting mountain excursion for amazing viewsand then time to shop for Swatches and all the many varieties ofSwiss chocolate! (Buffet breakfast)
Day 10 - Engelberg - Paris
Bonjour, as we head to the French border after crossing the RiverRhine. From here our journey continues into the wine-producingregion of Burgundy to view the Savigny-Lès-Beaune vineyardsbefore we arrive in lively Paris. Day 11 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure

Day 12 - Paris - London

Day 13 - London sightseeing & at leisure
